The seven steps
- 01PerceiveNoticing what is going on and what is actually happening in the situation.
- 02RegulateFinding enough inner support so that the first impulse does not immediately turn into action.
- 03ContactStaying connected to your own experience while keeping the present moment and the other person in view.
- 04UnderstandRecognising what a familiar reaction was once important for and what function it still fulfils today.
- 05Share and witnessMaking something of your own experience visible and finding that contact can remain.
- 06IntegrateThe familiar feeling may be there while a new experience becomes possible at the same time.
- 07EmbodyRepeating the new experience so that it becomes more easily available in everyday life.
What Mastermind You connects
Mastermind You connects an understanding of how imprints and protective movements work with the experience of the present moment and the question of how more room to act can emerge from this over time.
- The Mastermind You model organises these connections.
- The Mastermind You process translates them into seven flexible steps.
A good core sense of life means that the inner ground holds. The more stable this ground becomes, the easier the Mastermind You state is to access.
What can emerge from Mastermind You
Beside the familiar path, another possibility emerges
The old path remains well developed. Beside it, another possibility emerges. What feels unfamiliar at first can become more familiar over time. Through repetition and integration, the core sense of life can change too. The inner ground becomes more stable.
A good core sense of life
A good core sense of life does not mean that difficult situations disappear or that life is always easy. It describes an inner ground that holds more.
The Mastermind You state
The Mastermind You state is a state of consciousness in which we are more present, clearer and freer and have easier access to intuition, creativity and conscious choice.
It is not the same as a good core sense of life. A state can be accessible and then recede into the background again. When the inner ground becomes more stable, this state becomes easier to access.
On science and method
Mastermind You draws on findings and professional perspectives from, among other fields, attachment research, emotion and stress regulation, implicit learning and memory, and research on human development.
The core sense of life and the original feeling belong to the vocabulary of Mastermind You. Tower, treasure chest and key make the connections in the model tangible.
